New Year, New Me

The Yearly commitment to becoming the better you is suffering!! We set unrealistic goals, with time restrictions that make no sense. Everyone does it, no one is not guilty of doing it….

So lets look at it in a simpler way and forget the idea that a new year, means a new you!

If your inconsistent with your training, can we try change that initially. For example, in RAW Omagh, we offer class based membership where you can purchase a 2/3/unlimited per week class based membership. If you purchased a 3 times a week class membership and at the end of the month you only manage to get 6 out of 12 classes in within the month, maybe a better idea would be to purchase the x2 times a week class membership and focus on getting in for all your sessions.

Basically, can you get a routine, and do your best to stick to it. Have a plan B in case plan A doesn’t go to plan. Things happen in life, don’t stress about it, do what you can

Another example is with your nutrition

Everyone overindulges over the holiday period, and then believes that they will completely change this. I would encourage you not to.

Firstly - Control as much as you can your eating over the holiday period (all well and good saying that now)

Secondly - Your body adjusts to what you consume. If you body is used to a lot of sugar and you completely cut this, you will crash! Look for better alternatives but make sure that you are not starving the body of its nutritional needs

Thirdly - Enjoy what you want to enjoy! Ill admit, i love a bit of chocolate here and there, I’m not going to be cutting it completely anytime soon!

To summarise:

No one wants a new you, your probably enjoyed by others most when you be yourself! If making health changes, do it in a controlled and measured manner, ask for advice, and make sure you enjoy whatever you do!!
